30 Hour Famine Postponed
In light of the late arrival of our 30 Hour Famine packets, we’ve decided to postpone the famine. We’ll still be doing it at some point, but we decided that we wanted to be able to give it the time and attention that was necessary to make it as successful as possible.
If you have already been talking to some people about sponsoring you - THAT’S AWESOME – just let them know about our change of plans and tell them that you’ll talk to them again when we do the famine. Make sure to return any checks that you might have been given, too.
Sorry about the change, but we just want to make sure to give this awesome activity enough attention to make it as sweet as possible!
Vote Now!
Where do you want our 30 Hour Famine $$ to go? Here’s your chance to choose! Vote early and often, poll closes on Sunday!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

A Quick Note From Joplin + Bismarck Tribune Story
Hey guys, I’m working hard to pull together your DVD’s for Sunday night, but I wanted to share a couple of things in the meantime:
First of all, the BISMARCK TRIBUNE wants to do a story on our trip to Joplin! Yeah, sweet huh? So I need any of you from the trip that can to be at the church office (3333 E Broadway Ave #1218) tomorrow (Thursday) @ 4:00 pm. They just want to hear about our experiences and they’re going to do a nice story on our efforts down there. Very cool!
Also I wanted to pass along a message from Glen and Marilyn in Joplin:
Just wanted to say it was a privilege to have your youth group with us. We thank you and them for coming to help. They were lots of help not only to our community but to our church. You can be proud of all of them they did well. They were excellent in manners and portraying the Lord. WE hope you are doing well and all is good there. Thanks for sending them our way. We love you
Glen & Marilyn
Awesome job you guys! Be sure to be @ Impact THIS Sunday night @ 7:00 as we look at how we can apply what we learned in Joplin to our life every day!
Technical Difficulties
I haven’t been able to get online, other than on my iPod, so I haven’t been able to post the last 2 videos from the trip. We’ll show highlights on Sunday morning in church, so I hope you can be there. We meet @ the Doublewood Inn @ 10:00 am on Sunday.
We had a great day @ Worlds/Oceans of Fun today and we fly out of KC tomorrow @ 7:30 pm. We’ll spend the night in Minneapolis before leaving for home after a little shopping & lunch @ Mall of America. We should be home around 7:00 or 8:00 on Saturday. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Quick Message from Barry
Things are going great here and we’re excited to get to our last day of work in Joplin! The kids have been working hard and they have accomplished so much in the short time we’ve been here! I’m still trying to get the video from last night online, but I thought I’d post a few quick thoughts to hold you over….
Anyway, enjoy and have a great day!
Video Post to Come Tomorrow (hopefully)
To all of our loyal followers out there: our video post tonight is not wanting to upload for some reason and it is time for this youth pastor to go to bed! Hopefully I’ll have better luck in the morning and I’ll get the post on tomorrow. Our plans have changed just a little for tomorrow. We will begin the day working at a man’s house by removing debris and some large pieces of a tree that was up-rooted in his backyard. After that we will be doing some work around the church’s warehouse and then driving to Kansas City after dinner. We’ve been watching the weather and Friday is supposed to be rainy, so we decided to go to KC early so we can do Worlds and Oceans of Fun on Thursday. We have been able to save a lot of money on meals, because the church has fed us extremely well, so we can roll some of our meal money over into paying for an extra night in a hotel.
We’re having an amazing time here and we’ve been able to a lot of good things and help a lot of very good people. God is good and we will never forget our experiences here in Joplin! See you soon!
Until then, here’s some pics from today!
